Google Chrome Notifications in Windows Action Center Won’t Load – Microsoft Community
With the latest update of chrome 68, Google changes the look and behavior of chrome push notification in windows Now Chrome push notification works and looks alike windows native notifications.
In windows 10, chrome push notification looks like native notification of windows. It comes in the grey background with white heading and subheading with a small brand icon. If a user does not take any action then by default, it will move to windows notification center.
In the notification center, there is a cross icon to remove the notification and arrow icon to collapse the notification. In Windows 10, action buttons UI has been changed. Now it will come next to each other. In window 10, a rich image comes on top of the chrome push notification message. It will increase the click-through rate as it draws more user attention. The size of the rich image is changed in Windows 10 before it was , now in Windows 10, it requires an image in ratio just like in mobile push notifications.
In Windows 10, if a user does not take any action on push notification then by default, notification move to the notification center. In the older version, you had the option to set whether to fix the notification or auto disappear it after 10 seconds. In Windows 10, this change gives more advantage to increase the user engagement and click through rate as it will remain in notification center until a user manually clears the notifications.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. No option to turn it off as it doesn’t even show under list of system or what icons to show on taskbar. After doing some searches online find out this was a “feature added to google chrome” on win10, a deal with microsoft and google. Conservative links in the notifications list only close the notifications with no results,; pure way to silence the right and conservative view. So one pc it shows google notifications for 3 seconds then vanishes before I can even click it, doesn’t matter what the notification timer is set too.
Another pc, 20 notifications stay put, but clicking on them does nothing, links or message just removes the notification with.

Go to start – settings – system – notifications and actions. Turn off Get notifications from apps and other senders. How satisfied are you with this reply? Well anyway that is the way you turn it off. And if you sign in to google browser you see notifications as well FYI.

I have my default browser already open, so launching it is not an issue. Another microsoft and google partnership not fully tested. This site in other languages x.
